Sam Cohen is the author of Sarahland (Grand Central, 2021) which the Los Angeles Review of Books said”articulated and deepened what were previously unspeakable, but urgent mysteries” and Chicago Review of Books said “pushes the expectations of storytelling.” Her fiction has appeared in the recent anthologies Sluts (Dopamine, 2024) and Be Gay, Do Crime (Dzanc, 2025) as well as in Bomb, Fence, O Magazine, Electric Literature, and others. She lives in Los Angeles and currently teaches Creative Writing at the University of California-San Diego.
