Jonmar van Vlijmen is an ecosystem futurist exploring the historical, cultural, and potential transformations of nature and its capacity to evolve humanity. In 2013, he co-founded the artist collective de Onkruidenier, where he develops living ecosystems as artworks, bringing together plants, local knowledge, and public participation. Through fieldwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ecological imagination, Van Vlijmen makes intangible environmental values tangible, opening new perspectives on human-nature relationships and inviting reflection, connection, and care within our changing world.
